Thanks to Johnson & Wales University we now know how to make jam from cherries that may be growing in your own backyard!

Surinam Cherry Jam
2 cups Surinam cherries
1.5 Tbsp. low sugar Pectin
1/3 cup Water
1/4 cup Sugar
Preparation:
Combine fruit and water in small sauce pan, gradually stir in pectin. Bring mixture to a full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Add sugar, and continue to boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Store in prepared Mason jars or enjoy once cool.
