Jimmy Cefalo and Brenda Bassett star HCA’s East Florida’s Eat This Drink That Go! Presented by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, Salumeria 104 and American Airlines is now in its fifth year is a show dedicated to spreading information about great food, wine, spirits, and travel. The show is owned, hosted, and produced by Jimmy and Brenda and can be heard broadcasting from its beautiful new kitchen studio home on Clear Channel’s iHeartRadio and WIOD610 AM from 8-10 A.M. every Saturday morning; and on its The Beach Channel home from Palm Beach through the Florida Keys on Atlantic Broadband and AT&T U-Verse.  Jimmy explains “Our overarching goal with our radio and television show is to provide our audience with interesting information on where to eat, drink and go – thus the name!  Brenda and I enjoy finding hidden gems – those special places, whether it is a locale, travel tips, a recipe, a restaurant, a vineyard, great beverage or spirit – we enjoy sharing that experience with our audience.”

Eat This, Drink That, Go! is an extension of the Cefalo’s International brand. Who is Cefalo’s International? It is Jimmy Cefalo and Brenda Bassett. Combined they have decades of experience in food, wine and travel marketing, events, broadcast and sales.

Jimmy relies on his father’s tradition of 150 years in wine making. Brenda spent thirteen years of her career with the world’s largest food service hospitality educator before going into business with Jimmy in 2002.  For the past eight years, Cefalo’s has served as the Martini House Wine Ambassador for Bacardi USA representing their wine portfolio.

Jimmy Cefalo and Brenda Bassett have represented a variety of industries: law firms, architectural/engineering firms, roofing, impact windows and doors, restaurants, resorts, financial institutions, educational institutions, beverage companies and professional sports teams, just to name a few.  Their goal is to bring awareness, and increase profits for those we represent.

In short, they polish products and accentuate the differentiators that make a company special.

Eat This. Drink That. Go!  is an interactive show provides listeners and guests with usable information concerning healthy eating and living.  The show gives the “foodie” interesting information.  And provides the home chef, food lover, wine aficionado, beverage connoisseur and travel bon vivant with the right information to enjoy and plan for a memorable experience.


Jimmy Cefalo is an American Journalist, news and sports broadcaster, radio talk show host, voice of the Miami Dolphins, businessman, wine enthusiast and former professional NFL wide receiver.

In 1988, Jimmy Cefalo won an Emmy for his writing on the 24th Olympic Games. The National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association named him Florida Sportscaster of the Year five times (‘98, ‘01, ‘02, ‘03 and ‘04). In ’07, Cefalo was also awarded the Silver Circle Award, honoring those in broadcast for over 25 years.  Jimmy received an Honorary Doctorate of Business Administration in Food and Beverage Management from Johnson & Wales University, the world’s largest foodservice and hospitality educator in ’07.

Jimmy Cefalo is best known as a football player and Emmy award winning broadcaster. But those who know him well think of Jimmy in terms of his passion for wine. The Cefalo family has been involved in the making and selling of wine for the past 150 years. Jimmy’s great grandfather was a wine maker and inn keeper in central Italy. His grandfather came to this country in 1908 carrying a wine press and a dream of building an American family. Michael Cefalo became a coal miner, land owner and wine maker in Northeastern Pennsylvania. One of his 7 sons, Charlie, continued the tradition with a bonded Pennsylvania winery producing Italian varietals until his passing. His brother has taken over the reins from his father. Now, Charlie’s son, Jimmy is keeping the dream alive with Cefalo’s International.

Cefalo’s International is a marketing company that provides strategic planning for a select clientele with National/International initiatives.


In additional to running the operations for Cefalo’s International, developing, producing and co-hosting their radio show, Eat This. Drink That. Go!  Brenda is the Global Marketing Director for WNF Law, P.L. – Waserstein Nunez & Foodman, a prestigious law firm focusing on developing international programs, political and firm positioning, community and public relations and new business development.

With nearly thirty years of service marketing experience, Brenda Bassett’s background includes broadcast, video production, new business development, reorganizational strategies, professional training program development, alumni development, sports marketing, service/creative marketing, program positioning and development, non-profit advancement strategies, community and public relations.

Her passion for food, wine, beverage and travel developed during her 13 year tenure at Johnson & Wales University.  She developed programs for Bacardi, a full training campus in La Romano, Dominican Republic for Casa de Campo and Costa Cruise Lines, and the JWU Beverage Initiative.  She developed programs in Jamaica, The Bahamas, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Antigua, Aruba, the US Virgin Islands and Ireland.  She has served on the Boards for The Education Fund, Women’s Dade Fund, St. Thomas University, Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Greater Miami Beaches & Hotel Association, Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, University of Miami Mentor Program, Les Dames d ’Escoffier, among others.[/sc_2col_last]
